  1. from dave eberhardt baltimore 4 Have enjoyed listening to Gilroy and Cordaro immensely- Non Violent Direct Action radio- episode 6)

the sermon o the day- some observations:

yr reading of the Bible- also important to me- amurikans the "most deformed and dangerous" (nice turn of phrase- so true)-risk aversion- love of property- all so true- Day makes a good point that the right may destroy OUR property- true but that some property has no right to exist is also true- it's obvious (maybe just don't get caught or do it such a way that the enemy strikes bck 10 times worse?)

What if they start destroying CW houses?

I cannot be rigid about non violence even- althou I realize that most violence just creates and leads to more.

Yr figures on the Iowans fighting in bogus wars when few will even spend one night in jail- well then actually amruikans are not risk aversive- they are glad to take risks w their own children (see gun control)- they (the males of the species) are glad to kill their own children!!!!  O they'll shed a few tears at their funerals- and "thank u for yr service".

Its tempting to stereotype people (especially males) as DUMB!

Yr analysis of Assange helpful to me. You have a genius of analysis- reminds me of  David Swanson

A "fascist christian culture"- another nice turn of phrase.  You id the mantra- "Pro rich, pro war, pro u s a."

Stuff I'd like to have you address- sexuality (another taboo (like death) for aversion (as well other nations)- hard (for me) to be honest there- an ancient puritanism (am enjoying the National Geographic or Discovery Channel's- "Naked and afraid" programs"). I love sex and women.

I love my house and books,  But your and CW vows of poverty are incredibly powerful. I am quite a horrible sinner.

To me- I have studied and supported the left more than you- I support  the Spark and building a Workers Party. and am very tuned into gun control.

As to hope? we do not need it- it's over rated. We obsess abt it as abt the "bending of the moral arc."  Our devotion and service to others is the important thing- just as soldiers die not for the nation but for their brothers.

our work to create non violence and our efforts to refine tactics thereto.

Again thanx to you and Jack- very helpful.

cc various- and I may add to this.
